WESTERNVILLE, NY – The feet were tapping, and the taps were pouring at the inaugural Woods Fest Saturday.
The festival was held at the Woods Valley Ski Area in Westernville.
It featured many local favorites, as well as up-and-coming bands, from throughout Central New York.
Local craft breweries and wineries were also on hand.
The family-friendly event featured plenty of food and bounce houses for the kids.
“Ski areas are ideal for this type of event,” says Woods Valley owner Tim Woods.
“We’ve got the parking. We’ve got the infrastructure, the lodges, the liquor licenses, bathrooms and outdoor lighting. This is kind of what we do all winter long. We handle crowds. We’re good at it. This is a really good fit for us. “
Woods says you can count on Woods Fest returning next year, and for many years to come.
