Looking for something fun for the whole family? Take a day trip to the Cape May County Park & Zoo. Enjoy 85 acres of wildlife habitat with free year-round admission. Saturday, December 1: Family Holiday Celebration

Kick off the holiday season with the annual Family Holiday Celebration at the Wildwoods Convention Center! It will be sparkling with holiday lights and filled with the sounds of holiday music as the FREE Wildwoods Family Holiday Celebration continues from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. with a full day of shopping, crafts, face painting, local school children’s choruses & band performances, music, dance performances, a magician, FREE holiday movies and a special visit from Santa Claus.

Saturday’s exciting and fun-filled entertainment schedule for the Family Holiday Celebration is as follows:

9 a.m. – Margaret Mace Choir

9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. – Face Painters

9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. – Shopping Bazaar, Children’s Craft Making Table, Free Holiday Movies and Stocking Making Table

9:30 a.m. – Cape Trinity Catholic Choir

10 a.m. – Cape May Dance Company

10 a.m. – 4 p.m. – Balloon Twisting

11 a.m. – Wildwood Catholic High School

11:30 a.m. – Santa Claus Arrives

Noon – Magician Ken Northridge

1 p.m. – Glenwood School Choir

1:20 p.m. – Wildwood Middle School Choir

1:40 p.m. – Wildwood High School Choir

2 p.m. – Avalon String Band

Friday, December 7: Greater Wildwoods Jaycees Christmas Parade

The Greater Wildwood Jaycees Christmas Parade will kick off at 6:30 p.m. at 16th and Central Avenues in North Wildwood and will proceed south along Central Avenue and continue down Pacific Avenue through the Holly Beach Station Mall until Rio Grande Avenue in Wildwood where it heads west towards New Jersey Avenue and back north to Oak Avenue. At Oak Avenue, it heads east toward Pacific Avenue ending at Byrne Plaza where the awards ceremony will be held immediately followed by the Tree Lighting Ceremony at 7:30 p.m.

Registration will begin at 5 p.m. at the North Wildwood Recreation Center (10th and Central Avenues). Lineup will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the parade will start promptly at 6:30 p.m. There is no fee to submit a float entry for the parade. Trophies will be awarded to winners in four different categories. Awards will be given in the following divisions: Community Service, Commercial, Marching Bands and Public Service, and Individual/Small Group.

The rain date for the parade will be Sunday, December 9. Should the parade be postponed due to rain, the start time will be 5 p.m., with lineup at 4:30 p.m. If the weather is uncertain, tune in to 98.7 the Coast or visit www.WildwoodHoliday.com for confirmation.

Friday, December 7 & Saturday, December 8: NEW! Christmas on the Plaza

New for 2018, there will be a Christmas on the Plaza event at Byrne Plaza at Oak and Pacific Avenues in Wildwood. This event will feature a craft bazaar, children’s entertainment, music and refreshments! Hours are Friday, 5-10 p.m. and Saturday, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Friday, December 7: Hereford Inlet Lighthouse Christmas Tree Lighting

Also on Friday, December 7, it’s the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse Christmas Tree Lighting from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.! The festive ceremony will take place at the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse Courtyard, 1st & Central Avenues, in North Wildwood. The event includes music, refreshments, a free tour of the lighthouse and Santa Claus! Admission is free.

Saturday, December 8: Pinch the GrYnch Boardwalk 5K Run

The ‘Pinch the GrYnch’ Boardwalk 5K Run is fun for all ages! The event starts at 10 a.m. – rain or shine – with registration at 9 a.m. inside the Wildwoods Convention Center. Participants are encouraged to dress in festive holiday outfits. The race route will run south on the Wildwoods Boardwalk to Cresse Avenue, make a turn around and head north to 21st Street. Another turn will lead runners back to the Convention Center where refreshments will be served and prizes will be awarded.

Sunday, December 16: Christmas Concert and Holy Nativity

There will be a Christmas concert & holy nativity featuring The Notre Dame de la Mer Parish’s Adult, Contemporary, and Children’s Choirs accompanied by brass, strings, woodwinds, percussion, piano and organ under the the direction of Jonathan Delgado. The event begins at 6 p.m. at Saint Ann Church at 2901 Atlantic Avenue in Wildwood. A free-will offering will be taken.
